The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) have advised that they are postponing the implementation of the new senior assessment and tertiary entrance process from 2018 to 2019.

This means that the current Year 9s will now complete their senior schooling using the current curriculum and assessment process and will receive an OP, as has been in place for previous years.

This also means that the current Year 8 students will be the first cohort being taught using the new senior curriculum and assessment processes. They will receive an ATAR score instead of an OP.
